Head-On Car Crash Leads to Serious Personal Injuries

A recent Hawaii car accident highlighted the dangers of reckless driving. Three men in two separate vehicles were injured in a head-on collision in Kaneohe. The accident occurred near the intersection of Kaneohe and Maklani street. According to reports, the incident occurred as a 47-year-old man was traveling north on Kaneohe Bay Drive and was attempting to make a left hand turn. As he was turning, he was struck by a car traveling in the opposite direction. He suffered serious personal injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

A 22- and 20-year-old man in the southbound vehicle also suffered personal injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.

Head-on collisions are just one type of dangerous car accident that can occur. Other types of automobile accidents include rear-end collisions, side-swipes, "t-bones" and single-car crashes. Each of these different types of automobile related incidents may lead to personal injuries ranging from mild to severe, and in the worst case, involve a fatality. Examples of injuries may include head and neck injuries, spinal cord damage, brain injuries, cuts and bruises, lacerations and broken bones.

If you have been involved in any type of car accident, after ensuring that anyone who needs medical attention receives the care they need, it is important to consult with an experienced Hawaii personal injury lawyer who can begin an investigation into the incident and help you determine your next steps. Many factors may be involved in any one accident including driver error – such as careless or reckless driving – a mechanical error or defective automobile part, or roadway obstructions or hazards. Determining all the factors involved is critical to ensuring you recover all the damages you deserve.
