Fatal Aviation Accident Under Investigation

Hawaii News Now reports that 5 people have died in two separate Hawaii plane accidents. According to an initial investigation, the first crash occurred as the Cessna 182H was taking off for a skydiving drip, crashing shortly after leaving from Kauai's Port Allen Airport. Five adults on board the plan died in that crash. The people on board included two jumpers, two instructors and a pilot. The second plane crash occurred when a 56-year-old pilot and his 52-year-old passenger crashed in Oahu, just of the shore of the island. Both survived the crash with minor injuries.

Whenever any type of plane crash occurs, it's important to begin an in-depth investigation surrounding the causes of the incident. A large percentage of these accidents result in serious injuries or death due to the high velocities obtained by aircraft, and the resulting impact. Common reasons fro airplane crashes include:

  • Pilot error
  • Defective or malfunctions equipment
  • Improperly maintained equipment
  • Negligence on the part of the crew

Having the help of an attorney who understands the laws regarding aviation may help you win a substantial settlement against the negligent party.
