According to KHON, two people have died following a head-on crash involving a stolen car on Hawaii Island. Reports indicated that the crash occurred on Mohouli Street in Hilo. A police officer had stopped the car on Mohouli Street and Kaumana Drive, but when he approached the vehicle, it sped away, eventually crossing the center line and crash into another car. The two people in the stolen car were killed, and the driver of the other vehicle was taken to Hilo Medical Center in critical condition.
